Think Malawi Christmas charity prize draw 2025

hOW BUSINESSES, clubs and community groups CAN get involved in some festive fun (and skip the secret santa)

Girls in Malawi miss up to five days of school when their period arrives, due to lack of access to sanitary materials, changing rooms and social stigma. Think Malawi is focussing its efforts on addressing these problems in seven schools across Malawi.

UK organisations can make a direct impact on this problem, by helping to promote tickets among their employees or members for our 2025 Christmas prize draw. Income will go first towards period poverty projects in Lufilya community Day Secondary School and Mzinga Primary School in northern Malawi. Any excess funds raised will go to Think Malawi's other period poverty projects.

A feast of festive prizes

Prizes secured so far include:

  • A £200 Ticketmaster gift card

  • John Lewis vouchers worth over £100

  • Tickets to a performance by comedian and former Britain's Got Talent finalist Daliso Chaponda

  • £100 voucher towards a holiday with the Responsible Travel Company

  • Vouchers towards a break with Off Peak Luxury

  • Malawi tea and coffee from Maravi Coffee of Bournemouth

  • Home entertainment package from Studio Canal

  • Cashmere gloves from Lionsgate

Benefits for employers and community groups

We are currently seeking UK organisations and businesses who will promote the draw to their members and employees. It’s a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit, a chance to win exciting prizes and most importantly, an opportunity to directly impact education prospects for girls in Malawi.

The draw will take place live online during the day on 18 December, and is an opportunity to join in the excitement of the chance of winning a prize, as well as to find out about the good work which the tickets sold will go towards.

  • By promoting this draw, you're offering your staff a simple, fun way to get involved in a good cause together. It’s a bit of excitement in the office - who will win? It needn't cost your organisation anything to run.

  • Being part of the draw provides positive content to share over the festive period about an international education project, benefiting children from Malawi, one of the four countries with the highest poverty rates globally.

  • Skip the waste of secret santa, swerve the dodgy carol singing - this is a chance for teams to engage in some hassle-free festive fun. As a company, you could even buy every employee one or more tickets as a 'Christmas favour.' It's zero-waste, everyone is included, and the money goes to a fantastic cause rather than on novelty gifts.
